If you're trying to lose weight, remember to drink plenty of water. Staying adequately hydrated can boost your metabolism by up to 3%! This is possible because your body is 60-70% water, and every metabolic chemical reaction that happens in your body must occur within a water environment. If you're dehydration, these reactions simply don't happen as well.
So remember, at minimum, to drink 8, eight ounce cups of water a day. When you hear people say "drink 8 glasses of water a day," they're really saying drink 8 cups or 64 ounces a day. You may require more water if you're more physically active or live in a hot climate.
As always, be sure to talk to your personal health care provider who knows you best about this issue and other health issues.

I agree with Dr. Brown. I have been trying to lose weight for years. It was most successful when I consumed 8 glasses of water per day.
